Fraudulent company uses Prime Minister’s Law firm address in scheme

Another fraudulent investment company has illegally used Belize’s name and the Prime Minister’s law firm address in its scheme to attract investors. Profit Riders Inc. , via its website, claims that it can secure investors a return of as much as 200% a day. The company claims that it registered with the International Financial Services Commission (IFSC) in Belize and its website even depicted an image of a document claiming to be a license from the IFSC. However, that license shows a signature by the now deceased Gian Ghandi,  former director general of the IFSC. However, the license was dated after Ghandi died. The company also says that its registered office is at 84 Albert Street, Belize City, which is the address of the Prime Minister’s law firm, Barrow and Williams. The Office of the International Financial Services Commission (IFSC) in Belize has since issued a warning that PROFIT RIDERS Inc., is not a legal investment company in Belize saying :

“We confirm that ‘Profit Riders Inc.’ is not licensed by the International Financial Services Commission of Belize or any other competent authority in Belize to engage in trading in securities or any type of international financial services.

The release adds that

“All persons concerned are asked to take note and exercise extreme caution.” Any one who is contacted by representatives of Profit Riders Inc. is asked to contact the IFSC by e-mail at director@ifsc.gov.bz.
