A known gang member was apprehended on Tuesday last week. According to reports, at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday November 11th , the gang suppression unit conducted a house search for illegal firearm and ammunition at the residence of one Dennis Arthur Talbert Jr. in Belize City. Authorities say that they were denied access to the house upon arriving and knocking on the front door. GSU personnel then forced the door open. Authorities assert that upon gaining entry they witnessed Talbert disposing of an object that resembled a firearm. As a result, authorities escorted Talbert to the location where authorities discovered a .38 revolver wrapped in transparent tape. There were two .38 live rounds of ammunition as well. 21 year old Dennis Arthur Talbert Jr, whom authorities say is a member of the notorious Supal Street Gang, was subsequently arrested and charged for the offence of “Kept unlicensed firearm and kept unlicensed ammunition without a gun license.
