Garbage Washes Up On Beaches of Punta Gorda Town

There is a developing story coming in from the southern District of Toledo where a quite extraordinary amount of garbage has washed up on the beaches of Punta Gorda Town.

PG correspondent Will Mehia reports that this is the worse it has ever been in all the years of living in Punta Gorda.

According to Mr Mehia, the garbage seems to stretch for over 5 miles along the coast extending from Punta Gorda Town to the Port of Honduras Marine Reserve. The garbage started washing up on Tuesday morning, and a cleanup is in the pipelines for this weekend.
