Gearing up for elections

Municipal elections are set for Wednesday March 4th,  and preparations are on the way across the nine municipalities as the various political parties and independent candidates set up their booths in front of the polling stations in the various municipalities.

Candidates for the United Democratic Party, the People’s United Party, Vision Inspired by the People, People’s National Party, and other Independents will be voted for as Belizeans head to the polls as early as 7 a.m.

Various political parties and candidates held motorcades Tuesday evening  across municipalities in a last showcase before the elections on Wednesday. \Meanwhile, the Evangelical Association, Belmopan Branch,  has decided to spend the evening leading up to  the election in a time of prayer for the peaceful process of elections and for the nation of Belize. The prayer time is at 7 pm Tuesday evening at the steps of the National Assembly in Belmopan.

Polls will be closed at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
