Gerald Palmer Fatally Shot During Power Outage In Belize City

A Belize City man was murdered Thursday night.

The victim has been identified as 27 year old Gerald Palmer.

Police report that Palmer was accosted by a lone gunman as he walked at the corner of Grants and Cards Alleys around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, while there was a power outage in Belize City. Several shots were fired at Palmer hitting him multiple times. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and police say he died around 2:24 am on Friday.

Police say they have recovered a total of five 9 millimetre expended shells and one .380 expended shell from the scene.

Investigations continue but reliable information to PLUS News is that Gerald Palmer may have been mistakenly identified as his twin brother, who is believed to hang around with residents of the “Pink Jungle area between Pickstock and Victoria Streets.
