As part of the September Celebrations, the Belmopan City Council’s Celebrations Committee, in collaboration with the Police Recruits, organized a Health Fair this Saturday.
To kick off this event, 54 athletes participated in a 5K race, which started from the Daker’s Parking Lot, and concluded at the Sir George Brown Field.
Participants received medals for participating along with prizes for the winners of each category .
“For the first time in Belmopan, we’re including ‘Healthy Body, Healthy Nation’ as part of our celebrations.
It’s actually starting off with a 5K run/race this morning. A large number of runners came out to compete, and people who are not really runners. It’s just a fun time for the family.
After the race is completed, we now have a health fair.”
After the ceremony, residents of Belmopan were invited to the Healthy Body Healthy Nation’s Health Fair. Different organizations showcased their products and services promoting fitness and health.
