Hilux stolen from Lands Department

It seems that it is Hilux Season again. Last year 2014 around this same time of the year, vehicles assigned to government agencies in Belmopan were disappearing. Police suspected that the vehicles were being transported across the Western Border to Guatemala where the vehicles are later sold. By the end of October last year a total of 6 vehicles had gone missing, 4 of them attached to the Ministry of Health, one attached to the Department of the Environment and the other attached to the Belmopan City Council. All bared the same brand name; none have since been retrieved. Today Belmopan police are investigating the first Hilux disappearance for 2015 that was reportedly stolen from the Ministry of Natural Resources. The 2011, gray and black, four door Toyoto Hilux was parked at the Lands Department in Belmopan and reports say that sometime between June 31st and July 1st the Hilux was stolen.  Police are looking further into the theft.
