Home Going Service held for Diplomat Rafael David Baptist

vlcsnap-2013-03-05-19h21m33s115Today, family and friends congregated in Belmopan for the home going of Diplomat Rafael David Baptist. Baptist, who served as the Foreign Service Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belmopan, passed away last Saturday. Loved one described Rafael or “Raf” as he was affectionately known, as a diligent, polite and committed person, whose honesty and integrity could always be counted on. The home going service for Rafael Baptist was held at the George Price Center.

The warm smile, the gentle reassuring voice, the key listener, the great friend, this quiet hero, this humble man, so free of arrogance has gone too soon.

Upon his arrival in Panama to begin his undergraduate studies, we bestowed the title of “El Internacional” on him.

Listening to guys talk about him, truly he has impacted many lives in his own way.

So long my Rafael, is this really the end? Our world will collide when we meet again.

Plus News extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rafael David Baptist.
