Back to court news: Hon Tulio Mendez was not the only Area Representative who went to the Orange Walk court house today. Hon. John Briceno, Orange Walk Central Area Representative, was also back at court today after his first arraignment on February 4. Briceno is answering to charges of negligent harm, failure to report an accident, and driving without due care and attention. These charges stemmed from accusations made by the driver of the Deputy Prime Minister Gaspar Vega, Christopher Hendricks, who says Briceno ran over his foot while driving his Toyota Prado. When Briceno arrived at court today, he was told that his case has been adjourned to August 3 as the prosecutor needs more time to conduct its investigation into the incident.
