Last week Friday we told you about the broad daylight murder of 34 year old Nigel Neal. Neal was lay waited and gunned down in front of his residence in the village of Roaring Creek. Neal had communicated with his mother, Alice Burgess that he believed there was a hit out on him in retaliation for a recent killing in the village. Neal had returned that Friday morning after signing in at Belmopan Police Department as is required of him due to a recent charge of robbery. Police later detained two men who were found hiding in the Guanacaste Park area who match the descriptions of the bandits. Well, this morning Officer Commanding the Belmopan Formation, ASP Sinquest Martinez says that they have arrested and charged one of those individuals for Neal’s murder.

Over the weekend, we formally arrested a Honduran national for the death of Nigel Neal , with the quick response of the police officers, along with the people at large, they assisted us in that investigation. I would like to thank them for their assistance. From the time the police responded to the report, the description of the person, the clothing that they were wearing, they were found within less than two hours. When they were brought into to the police station, certain things transpired which also assisted us. I wouldn’t want to discuss the motive because the investigation still continues and probably other people might be implicated.
