The first phase of works on Burns Avenue in San Ignacio is now complete but the work is not over. Works are now being done on the upper part of that avenue where BWS has begun to lay pipes on King Street up to the old Benque Road. William Steven, acting Foreman for the BWS, tells us more.
“Right now, we are installing some 10 inch water mains in collaboration with BWS and the Council. The reason for that is to eliminate and to give better quality to the people of Santa Elena and San Ignacio. That is from the approach of the Hawkesworth Bridge to the old Benque Road. It will take approximately 50 meters of pipe to gives better quality like I explained earlier”.
