Jarod Lamb is finally back in police custody after being on the run for the past week. On the 18th of February at 9:30 a.m. when Police were escorting (7) Male prisoners from Kolbe Foundation Prison to San Ignacio Town in the Blue Police van, prisoner Jarod Lamb escaped by jumping out of the moving van when it reached Ontario Village.
Mr. Lamb, who is on remand for Murder and Robbery, managed to evade recapture until Monday, 24 February at about 4:00p.m., when someone in Santa Elena Town spotted him in the Santa Elena Cemetery.
The person, who had seen his photo in the media, recognized him as a fugitive and called police. San Ignacio Police officers moved on the area and found Jarod Lamb attempting to run into the nearby bushes.
One of the officers then shot him in his left leg just below the knee, preventing him from escaping. He was then transported to the San Ignacio Town Community Hospital and later transferred to the K.M.M.H, where he remains under Police guard. As soon as he is released, he will be charged additionally with escaping from lawful custody.
