He has a case pending for drug trafficking in the lower court but on Tuesday, before 35-year-old Jermaine Ottley could make it to court for his case, he claims he was beat by 5 police officers of the GSU. The incident allegedly occurred this morning while Ottley was getting ready to go to court for his case. He claims that five GSU officers came to his house and knocked down his door. He says the officer immediately started to beat him upon entering his house. He arrived at court this morning with a swollen left upper arm. He claims he received his injury when officers hit him with a fan from inside his house, breaking the fan on him. Along with Ottley at the time was Brandon Tillett, a name that is well known on the newscasts and by police. Ottley allegesthat Tillet was beaten as well and is in worst condition as Tillet had to go to the hospital for treatment. Ottley says he is in the process of making an official complaint into the alleged police brutality. As for his drug related case this morning, he received an adjournment date, set for September 23, 2013. This afternoon, 26-year-old Brandon Tillett, the second man who was allegedly beaten by police, was arraigned on three criminal offenses for allegedly assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and for wounding. Tillet pleaded not guilty on all counts. Tillet said he was abused by the police and showed the magistrate injuries to his forehead and elbow. Tillet was offered and met bail this afternoon. He is scheduled back in court on September 18, 2013.
