Jimmy’s Wireless located on Constitution Drive, Belmopan, was robbed this morning sometime between 11 am and 12 noon. A male person, after stuffing his bag with thousands of dollars worth of electronics, inconspicuously walked out the front door. General Manger Judy Dueck spoke to Plus News earlier this evening and explained to us what happened.
“We had a guy come in and put three laptops into his back pack and walked out with a printer”.
Reporter Emanuel Pech: “What were the employees doing? Nobodoy saw when he put the laptops into his bag and what not?”
Judey Dueck: “We were very busy; we had very few customers in the shop and they werwe both taking care of customers”.
Reporter Emanuel Pech: “Hpw did you guys noticed that the laptops were missing or when did you notice?”
Judey Dueck: “A customer that was in noticed that he walked out with the printer and he said that the guy walked out with the printer without paying”.
Shortly after they realized the items were missing, three employees set chase after the alleged perpetrator.
Judey Dueck: “We had three of the guys went to the bus terminal and they saw the bag with the printer, and they chased the guy, but the guy got away”.
The three items, which amount to a total value of approximately $6000, were recovered from the Bus terminal. Police are investigating.
