Police say when they visited the village of Valley of Peace, they found Batres’ body lying face up at the entrance of a board house.
Blood was coming out of the mouth, nose, eyes and ears. Initial police investigations have revealed so far that at around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, Blanca Rubia Batres, the mother of Jesus Batres, arrived at home and came across the motionless body of her son, who was last seen alive at around 9:00 p.m. on the same date.
According to police, investigations so far have revealed no foul play and so, they are treating the matter as a sudden death. However, reports coming in to Plus News are that the family is not convinced that Batres died of natural causes.
The body is presently lying at the Western Regional Hospital where it awaits a post-mortem examination, which should indicate how police will proceed with their investigation.
