Yhony Rosado and Vitalino Reyes’ trial started and concluded today. The duo have been long time rivals as both men are in the tour industry but their rivalry goes beyond normal business competition; there’s have gone to actual physical blows.
In court this afternoon, both men chose to give sworn testimony on oath. The first to testify was defendant one, Yhony Rosado.
He told the court that that he and Reyes argued that day and punched the air close to Reyes but never touched hime. He said he walked away; there was no fight.
However, defendant two, Reyes said that is not true because there was a fight and Rosado beat him up. He said Yhony Rosado placed a clip board in his face and told him that the price he had was cheaper and that’s when Yhony kicked him in the left leg and punched him in the face and he fell down and then Rosado walked away. Reyes said he never laid a hand on Rhosado even after being attacked. Reyes said he requested that Yhony be charged for assaulting him that day, but after 3 weeks no charges were levied against Yhony.
He met the officer whom he had reported the incident to and complained that no charges were pressed against Yhony as yet and the officer then told Reyes that he would charge both of the men for disorderly conduct,Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith told the men this evening.
It’s unfortunate that the two of you grown men had to reach to this level. There were three versions of event in this case and I cannot believe any version.”
The chief magistrate then dismissed the charges against the two men and placed them on a bound to keep the peace for 3 years. If any other criminal charge is brought against any of them within that three year period, they will spend 3 months in prison.
When both men were asked in court if they could manage keeping the peace, both shook their heads in agreement.
