Kendis Flowers charged with attempted murder of 2 cops

Kendis Flowers was charged with the attempted murder of  two police officers.   PC Rafael Flowers and PC Wayne Dawson were conducting a vehicle checkpoint on  Sunday, May 28,  around 4:30 that morning at the corner of Mayflower and Vernon Streets in Belize City. They reported that they saw an altercation between two male persons and proceeded to the men they recognized as Kendis Flowers and Dishuan Foreman.  The officers intervened but Kendis Flowers allegedly charged at PC Rafael Flowers and PC Wayne Dawson.   An altercation ensued and that is when Kendis Flowers ran inside his yard on Mayflower Street and returned with a gun, from which he reportedly fired off 5 shots in the officers’ direction.  The officers returned fire but Kendis escaped.   He was only just captured this morning and arraigned. The 25 year old man appeared unrepresented before Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith where he was read the two counts of attempted murder. He was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until September 18, 2017. Kendis Flowers is no stranger to police. He had been before the court on a  number of charges related to firearm and shooting incidents.   On November 14, 2016, he and notorious figure, Roger Anthony, walked from the attempted murder of Shelly Meighan which had occurred in October 2014.  vlcsnap-2017-06-03-16h19m38s825
