24 year old Leon Gray was charged for the attempted murder of Malcolm Wagner who was shot at and grazed by a bullet last week Tuesday. Late this evening, alleged PIV member, Leon Gray, was arraigned in court. for the June 4, 2013 attempted murder of Malcolm Wagner. Allegations are that on June 4, Gray was the gun man who opened fire on Flamboyant Street and caused 23 year old Malcolm Wagner to be grazed by a bullet. When Gray appeared in court today, he was read three indictable offenses: one count of attempted murder, one count of use of deadly means of harm, and one count of wounding upon Malcolm Wagner. No plea taken from Gray and due to the nature of the offenses, no bail was offered. Gray was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July 31.The victim, Malcolm Wagner, as early as the day before the shooting, June 3, 2013, had appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on a charge of handling stolen goods for having been found in possession of a police man’s stolen bicycle. For that matter, Wagner pleaded not guilty and was offered bail which he met that same day before he was shot. Leon Gray on the other hand beat a murder charge some years ago when he and four other men were accused and charge with the murder of Randy Coye.
