Man remanded on three counts of rape

A man is remanded to the Belize Central Prison after being charged with three counts of rape and a single count of aggravated burglary. The San Pedro Sun issued the story on Thursday and reported the following: On Friday September 6th, Police got a report from a 36 year old Belizean bartender of Pescador Drive, San Pedro Town that on that same day at about 3 a.m. she and her roommate, a 28 year old Honduran waitress, were sleeping in their room apartment when they were awakened by a knock on their door. Taken aback by the peculiar time of this circumstance, the two women reportedly proceeded to ask who it was. When they opened the door a man, later identified as 21 year old Eric Gutierrez, pushed in another woman, a 25 year old Guatemalan waitress, living in the rear room of the apartment. Reports have it that the man held the three women to knife point and demanded that they take off their clothes. He then stabbed one of them on their foot. The three women, fearing for their lives, took off their clothes. Gutierrez allegedly proceeded to having intercourse with them against their will.
