Around the same time in Belize City, another person was shot. According to police reports, they received information of shots fired on Central American Blvd. Police responded to the area and met 28-year-old Phillip Mass Samuels of Boots Crescent, Belize City who indicated that he was shot at by an unknown person. However, police quickly learnt that Samuels was the person who fired the shots and upon being detained, he fled the area but was caught after police fired shots and he was hit in the foot. He was transported to KHMH where he is listed in a stable condition under police guard. Police have recovered a Smith & Wesson .9mm pistol with a magazine containing (5) live rounds of ammunition. An internal investigation has also been launched into this matter.
