Belmopan Police are one step closer to solving the case of the robbery of the quality poultry truck. As we told you on Friday last week, just before our newscast a quality poultry delivery truck was stolen as it was parked outside of Mary’s Shop in Salvapan Area, Belmopan. Zeta workers witnessed the theft of the vehicle and reportedly pursued the thieves in their own Zeta vehicle. That led to a high speed chase where the thieves reportedly drove into the Zeta vehicle attempting to knock it off the street. The truck made its way to Michael Finnegan Street where eye witnesses say the men exited the truck and got on a motorcycle parked on the side of the road, making good their escape..Well Belmopan police have recently released a wanted poster of a man they believe is behind that robbery- 30 year old Carlos Enrique Tzalam, a Belizean labourer of Maya Mopan Area, Belmopan. As previously reported, over $8 thousand dollars were stolen from inside the quality poultry delivery truck. Police report that a portion of that money has been recovered. Police continue investigations and are asking the public to inform them if the wherabouts of Carlos Tzalam is known.
