A man hunt is on for an escaped prisoner. 24 year old Nimrod Tillet of Corozal Town, who has been on remand for robbery, was yesterday taken to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk after he started to complain of pain. At around 11:15 that morning, he was inside the facility’s restroom, situated in the Emergency Ward and decided to take flight. Police are now searching for Tillet and if you have any information concerning the whereabouts of the escapee, contact your nearest Police Station. In October of last year, Tillet was acquitted for the 2009 murder of his alleged lover Enrique Castillo, who was found stabbed and beaten inside his Orange Walk home. The acquittal came after Tillet’s confession to stabbing Castillo was ruled as inadmissible, since Tillet claimed Police beat him and forced him into confessing.
