Mexican man drowns in Orange Walk

There was another drowning , this time in Orange Walk.  According to police reports, on April 12, 25-year-old Alejandro Aurelio Arjona of Cancun, Mexico drowned near the ferry at San Estevan Village.  Arjona was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and was accompanied by his cousin of San Estevan Village who stated that when Alejandro Arjona jumped in the river the first time, he took him out but Alejandro jumped in the river again and went under. His cousin jumped in to try and take Alejandro out,  but it was fruitless. With the help of other male persons, Alejandro’s lifeless body was retrieved from the water. vlcsnap-2015-04-14-09h34m35s151
