“On Friday, prior to the incident on Saturday, there was a brawl among some students.

On Saturday morning, while they were at the Toledo Union Field, the same young man that they had the brawl with was in the area.  Four of them attacked the person that is hospitalized, and inflicted stab wounds to him.

He was immediately taken to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital, and later transferred to the Dangriga Hospital.  At this time he had been released.

He is now at home, with his family, recuperating,

“What is the motive behind the confrontation?

.

Superintendant Simeon Alvarez

“The motive is not very clear at this time, but apparently it’s a gripe between students.  One of the guys that is detained at this time, he is not a student.  So the other three that will be charged, along with the non-student, will be charged for the offence for the crime they have committed upon this minor like themselves.”

17 year old Marlon Ocampos has since been released from the Punta Gorda Hospital, and is making quick recovery.
