Six days after they were reported missing, the bodies of 32 year-old Zeidy Orozco and 41 year-old Baltazar Lopez were discovered near a garbage dump off a feeder road to the Consejo Area. We are yet to receive details as to the conditions of those bodies, but as we have reported, the couple from Corozal went missing since last week Thursday. They were seen that night at a bar and then at the beach in Corozal. The following day, Zeida’s Chevy Prism car was found in a very remote location off the road linking Patchakan and Yo Chen Villages but with no signs of the missing couple. Today, the sad discovery was made and police and BDF were on the scene combing the area for evidence. This is the second such type of murder that has been reported in Corozal within the past five weeks. In late April, North American couple 52 year old Canadian Francesca Matus and 36 year old American Drew Thomas De Voursey were reported missing in like manner, the last time they were seen was at a bar in Corozal. Six days later, their decomposing bodies were also found off a road in Chan Chen Village. Their vehicle was also found in a cane field before their bodies were discovered. There have been no arrests inhte case of the kidnapping and murder of the North American Couple, and none in this latest case wither.
