Clean up efforts have been ongoing today in parts of Belize City after the flood waters began to recede. However, there is the need to keep an eye on the weather as more rain is expected. We hear from Chief Meteorologist Dennis Gonguez for the weather forecast.
Dennis Rodriguez, Chief Meteorologist: In the next few days the second area of low pressure that was released to us yesterday has been moving inland, and has been moving away from the area. As a consequence we can expect conditions to improve tomorrow and even better on Thursday and Friday. So we’re looking at gradually improving conditions tomorrow and even better towards the weekend. We must be aware that although conditions are expected to improve, the significant amount of rainfall that we got over the past week will continue to cause some flooding. So we have to be aware and vigilant and pay attention to the advisories that are issued by NEMO in reference to possible flooding events.
