Mother charged for burning son’s hand on stove

Thirty-two year old Odette Lambey, a sales clerk who allegedly lit her stove and put the hand of her 6 year old son in the fire, was charged with grievous harm when she appeared on Tuesday before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith.

Odette Lambey was released on a bail of $500. Her next court date is December 5.

The incident occurred on October 16. The child was given a medico- legal form and he was taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. The doctor who examined him classified his injury as grievous harm.
