Police in Ladyville are investigating the shooting death of one 47 year old Prudencio Gonzalez, caretaker of the famous Bacab Eco Park on the Burrell Boom road. The incident occurred sometime around 9 pm last night July 26th where eyewitness report hearing a single gunshot go off in the area of Ridge lagoon Estate in Burrell Boom where Prudencio Gonzalez lived. During a routine check of the area, the security guard of the estate came upon the motionless body of 47 year old Prudencio Gonzalez with an apparent gunshot wound to the right eye. The body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police held a press conference earlier this evening to brief the media on this ongoing investigation.
“Prudencio Gonzalez, forty-eight years; he is the handyman of Bacab on the Boom Road where around nine o’clock a shot was heard. Investigation was carried out by individuals on the ground, around the area, to try and ascertain where the shot came from, but they did not discover Mister Gonzalez until about eleven that night where he had one gunshot wound over the right eye. Investigation into that matter is being conducted as we speak.”
The body now lies at the Karl Heusner memorial Hospital morgue awaiting a post mortem examination. Earlier today, the administration of Bacab Eco Park released this statement on Prudencio Gonzalez, whom they described as a faithful and long standing eployee and friend. The statement says and we quote, “The senseless, and unwarranted action against a hardworking, skilled, and versatile person leaves a hole in the fabric of our society. The contributions Prudencio has made through his work over the past 10 years in the development and maintenance of Bacab Eco Park are countless.” The statement was signed by Lourdes Smith Director of Marketing and Sales.
