No charges for Belmopan machete attacker

A Belmopan man was chopped to the left side of his face on Thursday night. Reports are that police visited the Western Regional Hospital on Thursday where they saw Herrardo Barrios with chop wounds to the left side of his face and his left arm. ACP Myvette tells us that one suspect was detained and later released because Barrios does not desire to seek court action.

ACP Joseph Myvette , Head NCIB: On Thursday the 2nd of August shortly after 10:40pm, Belmopan Police responded to the Western Regional Hospital where they observed one Heraldo Bayos with a chop wound to the left side of his face and to the left hand. He was admitted to the Western Regional Hospital where the doctors certified the injuries as wounding. Police have since detained one person, however no court action was requested into the matter and that person that was detained has since been released.
