I just issued a release where the Montero family collected another 1.4 where they paid 13,229$ for land in 1998 and now the UDP is borrowing the barrow, Faber UDP government has compensated Mr. Montero’s sister and brother in law $1,488,019.53 Bz if that is not an outrage that don’t get us upset to want to take a sort of action then what?

According to Briceno, there have been several land dealings with Rene Montero that are questionable. One of those is property in the Prevacion Water Shed area of Punta Gorda. According to reports, the Montero family says that the then PUP Government  had acquired those properties for public purpose and then sold it to private interests. Briceno responded.

That’s not true that’s absolutely false what we did we closed off the area we passed most of that land over to the Elijio Panty National Park now what Gaspar Vega and Montero and all of them did they reserved a portion of that land and then sold it to themselves including the representative from Montero, Marin, Vega and Contreras family those are some of the permanent names that was issued land in that area.

Following questionable land dealings with former Deputy Prime Minsier Gaspar Vega, it was subsequently revealed that over 70 million dollars were paid in land compensation cases during Vega’s tenure as Minister of Natural Resources. According to Briceno, the blame cannot only be placed on Gaspar Vega.
