An Indian National was found dead inside an apartment in Orange Walk early this morning. According to police the deceased, identified as 30 year old Vicky Hareshlal Gyanchandani, was known to have a history of chronic alcoholism. This along with other evidence is leading police to investigate the matter as a sudden death. However there is one crucial piece of evidence that could turn the case into a homicide investigation but Orange Walk Police are waiting for the official postmortem results from the hospital morgue in Belize City before they proceed with the investigation.
“Orange Walk police visited an apartment on Guadalupe Street in Orange Walk Town, where in room 4, they saw the lifeless body of one, Vicky Harashalal Gyanchandani, 35 years, Indian nation of said address. The body was found lying on the floor. There was no sign of struggle, however there was an apparent ligature mark on his neck. Initial investigations reviled that the deceased has been in the country for some while. According to the Northern Regional personnel, said person had a history of chronic alcoholism and that he had been visiting the Northern Regional Hospital suffering from stomach ulcers. The body is currently at the morgue awaiting a post-mortem which will reveal the cause of his death. Police is treating as a sudden death. “
