Seven inmates of the Kolbe Foundation were honored on Tuesday afternoon at the Central Prison in Hattieville. The short ceremony was to celebrate and acknowledge their accomplishments in passing the 2016 Primary school examinations. While primary school students sat the exams at various schools across the country, the 7 inmates sat the same exam at the Prison and passed. It is not the first time inmates of Kolbe foundation were prepared for the exams but the program had gone dormant for a number of years. With the success of these 7 in the 2016 PSE, it is believed that it will act as an encouragement to other inmates to also strive to improve their educational status.
