PC Linsdale Blease charged for assault and firearm offences

On Thursday September 4th  at 3:00p.m. Police Constable Linsdale Blease, presently attached to the Domestic Violence Unit at Eastern Division, was arrested and charged for the crimes of “Aggravated Assault and Discharging Firearm in Public”.

At 3:30p.m. he was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith and the matter was adjourned for 23rd October, 2014.  He was remanded to the Central Prison.

This case is in reference to a complaint made by Cordell Gregory Duran, where he alleged that on 3rd February, 2014 while between miles 25 and 26 on the George Price Highway, PC. Blease pointed a pistol in his face and threatened him and then fired a shot in his direction.
