Pine logs across the highway due to accident

Last night, Thursday August 28, between miles 33 and 34 on the Phillip Goldson Highway, a Tractor with a 12-feet trailer carrying pine logs was rear ended by a 4 door Audi. The crash caused the pine logs to dislodge and scatter across the road while the Audi received damage to its front portion.

According to police reports, the tractor was travelling from the direction of Orange Walk Town with five persons on board at around 7 o’clock last night.  The tractor was travelling without head lights and tail lights when 25-year-old Senbu Wu, who was driving the Audi, collided into the rear portion of the trailer.

The passengers on the tractor received varying degrees of injuries and were escorted to the hospital via ambulance. Mr Wu received minor injuries to the knee and elbow. Police investigations continue.
