The San Ignacio Police Formation held a meet and greet with residents in San Ignacio and Santa Elena over the weekend. The Meet and Greet was officially launched on Friday the 15th of January, and police say it was well received in the communities of the twin towns. The purpose of the meet and greet initiative was to address issues that some residents were having, including any issues with the police themselves. Officer Commanding San Ignacio Police Formation, Supt. Andrew Ramirez, led the pro community initiatives in the village of San Juan. Ramirez says that the main concerns that the residents had were noise pollution, quicker police response and more police patrols. He also told us what seemed to be the general sentiment of the people towards police officers.. Police plan to continue the meet and greet sessions on a weekly basis.
