Yesterday we reported on this past weekend’s murder of South Side affiliate 22 year old Michael Wallace, which police believe may be linked to the April 16th murder of the reputed gang boss of George Street, Gerald ‘Shiny’ Tillett. Michael and his brother 29 year old Richard Wallace along with their friend were shot at 8 times as they drove along the Western Highway. ACP Edward Broaster said the investigation hasn’t gone as expected:
ACP Edward Broaster, Officer Commanding Eastern Division South: That statement bearded no facts to us that would enable us to further the investigation at this time. The victims are no cooperating with us, nobody else has been detained. I think that it was on Channel7 that the mother made some threats, and we’re looking at that. Like I said the victims, we’re not having any cooperation from them.
With retaliation possibly looming, ACP Broaster explained that he has contacted his colleague ACP Chester Williams on Southside to pass on the information for follow-up. When we spoke to ACP Broaster yesterday, he informed that he believed that a fourth vehicle may have been involved. That vehicle, according to Broaster, was used to pick up and transport the alleged gunmen away from the scene and possibly into hiding. Police are now seeking the owner of the unidentified vehicle
