Police lay charges for fight in Mahogany Heights

Jerson Grinage, charged in the December 2015 aggravated burglary of the Burrell Boom home of Belize’s honorary consul to Lebanon, 77 year old Sarkis Abou Nehra, was involved in a scuffle on Saturday in Mahogany Heights with one Ervin Fitzgibbon and received stab wounds to the back of his head, forehead and the right side of his face. Both men appeared in court but they insist they do not want court action in the case. Officer Commanding Eastern Division Rural, Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster, explains why both men were charged. Grinage and Fitzgibbon were arraigned for aggravated assault before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza and pleaded not guilty. Each were offered bail in the sum of $800 which they had not met up to this afternoon. Grinage and Fitzgibbon return to court on April 22, 2016.vlcsnap-2016-02-23-10h54m06s222 vlcsnap-2016-02-23-10h54m11s514 vlcsnap-2016-02-23-10h54m18s042
