Police update on Western Union robbery

A Western Union in Orange Walk was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money last week Thursday. Reports are that a dark complexion male armed with a firearm entered a Western Union business on Guadelupe Street in Orange Walk and demanded that the cashier hand over cash. ACP Myvette gives us the details.

ACP Joseph Myvette, Head NCIB: On Thursday the 2nd of August shortly after 9:15am, Orange Walk Police responded to a robbery on Guadeloupe Street, Orange Walk Town, where the cashier at a Western Union outlet reported around 9am, she was approached by a dark complexion male person who had what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money of her, where she gave him an undisclosed amount of money, after which he made good his escape. So far there is no suspect and police is investigating this matter.

No suspect has been identified.
