Police updates on shooting of Belize City couple

Today, police gave updates on other shooting incidents that have happened since the beginning of this week. We have reported on the shooting of a couple who were seated in a parked car. Both survived the incident.

ASP Alejandro Cowo, NCIB

Sometime after 9:15 p.m. police visited the Karly Heusner Memorial Hospital, KHMH,  where they observed Carolyn Rivers and Devin Cattouse. Both of them were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Miss Rivers had a gunshot wound to her shoulder and Cattouse had a gunshot wound to his chest area. Miss Rivers was treated and she discharged herself the same night from the KHMH. Mr Cattouse is still at the Hospital in a stable condition. What Police have gathered so far is that they were parked on the North Front Street, almost in front of Party Centre located at the Port Authority building, when they were approached by a male person who fired several shots in their Direction. Thereafter  the person fled into Pickstock Street and disappeared. So far Police are looking for one male person to assist in this investigation.

Cattousse is still admitted at the KHMH in a stable condition.
