Possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol

On the night of Friday November 21, Belmopan police were on mobile patrol, and passing in front of a bar on Cemetery Road, Belmopan City.
They say that a blue Ford Ranger pickup suddenly reversed out from the establishment, almost running into the police vehicle.
Police pursued the vehicle and pulled it over. The driver was identified as 29-year-old Marvin Albeno of Spanish lookout.
A search of the vehicle revealed that the pickup was unlicensed and Mr Albeno appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. A further search of the pickup revealed a 12 gauge shotgun with cartridges.
Marvin Albeno was arrested and charged for being in possession of a licenced 12 gauge shotgun while under the influence of alcohol, and for using an unregistered motor vehicle.
