Prisoner charged for prison yard stabbing

He pleaded not guilty to charges of wounding before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer and was sent back to prison until September 19 when his case resumes. Around 10:00 a.m. on July 16, Jamal Ariola, 23, was in the prison yard when he felt a stab to the left side of his chest and then saw Giovanni Ramirez carrying a piece of steel, called a “borer”, in his hand. Giovanni Ramirez, Jamal Ariola says, then attacked again, causing injuries to the hand, back and left foot.
