According to reports, this establishment, located on 22 Havana Street here in Dangriga, has been targeted by thieves and robbers for many years now.  Conversely, a family member of PUMA Havana Service Gas Station reported that this establishment was robbed twice last year and no one has been arrested and charged for the incident.  Well, it happened again on Monday May 26th at about 7:47 p. m.

Reports here indicate that a lone gunman with a mask over his face came from behind the building and walked inside the establishment through the main door and held up the attendants at gunpoint.  At the end of the ordeal, some $1,300 were stolen from the cash register.

vlcsnap-2014-05-28-20h47m51s127The gunman then made good his escape just like the previous incident.  Family members of the establishment that the police are not cooperating with them in an effort to resolve this incident, but police here say that they are investigating the said robbery and are following many leads, and that there is something fishy about this latest incident, since this particular establishment has always been a target for thieves.

They say that they encourage the owners to beep up security with police presence, but he never took up the offer.  The owner says he will take his concern to the authorities in Belmopan.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
