PUP celebrates 64th anniversary

The People’s United Party Secretariat, in a press release on Monday, said the PUP is alive and vigorous at 64.

On September 29th  in the year of 1950, exactly 64 years ago, a group of young Nationalists met at 11-14 Pickstock Street, Belize City and formed the People’s United Party.

In commemoration of their 64th anniversary,  some 300 PUP delegates from across the country met in Belmopan on Sunday, to ratify various resolutions and conduct party business. As part of the occasion, 31 senior members of the party were awarded the George Price service award. Also on the agenda was a special posthumous tribute to the late Ramon Cervantes Sr.
