There was a work related accident at Quality Poultry Products’ facility in Spanish Lookout on Thursday October 14th.
Sabino Primentel, a resident of Santa Familia Village and the manager of the boiler system at the rendering plant for Quality Poultry Product, received severe burns when there was an explosion soaking Mr Primentel with boiling water.
According to reports, the top cover of the boiler blew open on the second floor of the facility.
A statement from the Quality Poultry Manager says that regular checks are made on the broiler, and there was no indication that anything was wrong.
Quality Poultry flew Sabino Prementel to a burn victim facility in Guatemala City, but he succumbed to his injuries one week later on Thursday October 23rd.
