Since then it has expanded, establishing clubs all around the world including Belize. We caught up with Bruce Flowers, Vice President of Rotaract in Belmopan, as the club undertook a membership drive at the campus of UB, in Belmopan. He explains the week’s activities
“Well, right now, we are having a membership drive in the UB Campus. we have a booth set up already, distribute flyers, talk to our students who are on our compound about what the Rotaract are encouraging to join. Tomorrow we are having a ‘scavenger Hunt’ which will be starting at Del Norte and the end is going to be a surprise, pretty much, all you need is a team of four, a camera and a car, It is an open event and I welcome anyone to attend”.
The treasure hunt begins today at 7:00 p. m. at Cevicheria Del Norte in St. Paul Street. Rotaract will also be doing community service work this Saturday at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan, Flowers tells us more:
Mr. Bruce Flowers: “In the past, we have done works on the playground: We painted the playing set, we also painted a mural on the wall, and repaired the swings on it. For this Friday, we are going to repaint the play set again, we are going to install new boards for the swing, and we are going to do other activities”.
Rotaract week wraps up on Sunday where they will have an open meeting at YWCA building at 4:00 pm.
