School opens on Monday September 1st and students and teachers of Xiabe Roman Catholic School are gearing up for the first day back. But there is a already a damper on the new school year as thieves made off with five laptop computers from the principal’s office last week. The laptops were donated by the Corozal Rotary Club . According to reports, there was no sign of forced entry into the principal’s office from where the laptops were stolen.
The police in Corozal are asking for the public’s assistance in solving this crime and hopefully recover the stolen laptop computers in time for the new school year. Anyone with information is asked to call the police station at telephone number: 402-2022 or the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
