A 34-year-old man of Hope Creek Village reported that on Thursday 14th July 2016 around 8:30 p.m., he was driving alone in his car on the Stann Creek Valley Road heading from the direction of Dangriga to Hope Creek. When he reached the first bump after White Swan around mile 7 ½, a male person wearing dark clothing came out of the bushes and fired two shots at him. One of those shots caught him on the left upper shoulder. He managed to escape and made his way to the Southern Regional Hospital and was later transferred to Western Regional hospital for further treatment. He remains in a stable condition. Police are investigating.
