Will the Prime Minister’s son, Shyne Barrow, a former inmate and rapper who was named music Ambassador of Belize, become the next UDP representative for Mesopotamia? Reports reaching our news desk are that Moses “Shyne” Barrow, has expressed his interest in running for electoral politics in the area of Mesopotamia, and become the successor of his uncle Michael Finnegan, who has lead several landslide victorious for the United Democratic Party in that constituency. According to reports, Zenaida Moya, whom Finnegan had been preparing to take over the constituency after he retires at the end of this current term, has stepped down and will no longer be contesting the area. The UDP Mesopotamia committee chairman Rodney Lord indicated to another media house that there is nothing official but that as far as he knows, Shyne has the full support of his uncle. The last time Shyne headlined local news media and international news media was when he got in trouble with US Authorities for being involved in the 1999 New York Night Club shooting. He was incarcerated for almost a decade. During that time he converted to the Jewish Faith. He was released in 2009 and deported back to Belize.
