There have been increasing reports of robberies across the country. The latest victim is 63 year old Jeremy Alexander Spooner, owner of SPOONAZ Café on North Front Street Belize City. Spooner told Police that three around 10:50 p.m., while closing his business establishment he was approached by a male person wearing a brown Security Guard Uniform who forced the glass door open, and pointed a firearm at him demanded money. According to Spooner, a second male person, also dressed in a brown Security guard uniform entered the establishment and proceeded to rob him of $3,000bz in different denominations and $1,000US in different denominations. The total amount of cash stolen was $5,000. Spooner was also robbed of his 9mm Glock pistol with serial number PCM942. Police say that they are investigating.
