There have been major works done in Belmopan on some of the residential streets and other Belmopan City roads. The Area representative says several streets have been paved, several streets are being paved and several streets will be paved in the near future, all out of a collaborative effort from the Government funds and RECONDEV.
“Well, at this time the Prime Minister has been making money available to all the constituencies countrywide and Belmopan has been getting its fair share. We’ve also been working with the board of RECONDEV that has been making funds available. We have completed the paving with eight streets in the Piccini Area late last year. We are currently paving five more streets in the Judges Area. In fact, I am told that as we speak, the paving of the last two streets is taking place. The junction at Brodie’s is being done; we have received funding for the pavement of the Queen Elizabeth Boulevard, which leads to the Ministry of Natural Resources building. We have also received funding from the Prime Minister to concrete the Royal Palm Boulevard which separates Phases 1 and 2 of the Cohune Walk Area and we hope to be able to announce even more projects as we go along”.
